Lansing!

Little sweeties! I have been won over by Michigan! Okay, I was never anti-Michigan, but I didn't know much ABOUT Michigan. But now I love it! As my car driver said: "Oh, yah, plenty of good clean livin'." (Imagine that said in a Garrison Keillor voice, please. Even though he's from Minnesota. No need to be picky, now is there?)

Met AWESOME girls at Haslett High School, and also one of the coolest librarians ever. Margie was so pro-books and pro-kids. She called her library a "live" library, and by that, meant that she encouraged students to eat there, read there, listen to music there...all the good stuff people want to do, but sometimes can't in libraries. She was the antithesis of the mean library lady. (Also, her colleague, Betty, brought cookies. Y'all know how I dig cookies. She brought these yummy cookies she calls "No Bakes," but which I call "Indian Boil." Have any of y'all heard of either???)

Then had a coolio event at Schuler Books, which was filmed for the nightly news on CBS. Hahahahahaha! Craziness. And Maddi brought me candy and eggs. Plastic eggs, no doubt left over from Easter. I like-y leftover Easter eggs, oh yes I do. And the candy bar had blueberries in it. As Big Bunny would say, "Mmmmmmm."

Oh oh oh! And two girls showed up with polka-dotted nails!!!! What good taste they have, says I. ;)

This is Anna (the Zoe, Maddi's friend, who likes horror and loves the cover of Bliss). she's mad at me now and I don't know why. we just went to see you the other day and now she's p.o.'ed and I wish I could know what I did so I could apologize and we could make up. I feel bad about how upset she is and it made me cry. We can't email the pictures to you until after we make up tho and I know she wants them up on the website. Help???

So on saturday, me and my 3 friends were at the park and gonna prank call this guy (who i sorta like). I thought i knew his phone number because i was looking through the school phone book before we went the park. (little obsessive :{) First it was me and my friend "number 1" then we saw my BFFL from my summer day camp "number 2". After that "friend 3" showed up with her cell phone. I was tempted to call "the guy" so i dialed (what i thought was his #) The answering machine picked up... i freaked and hung up. So friend 3 hit redial and did a really funny accent, while she did this all of us giggled. Then she redialed again and started singing HSM. I mouthed for her to stop. She kept singing then said "this message was brought to you by ' my name' " then hung up... I yelled at her SOOOO loud. At school on Monday I asked the guy... "did u get an anonymous phone call on Saturday...?" He said "yeh" then looked at me knowingly. I said "it wasn't me!!!!!" He said "who was it then?!?" i said "it was 'friend 2' !!!" And ya know what stinks... he said "who?..." UUUGH!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO?!? Then i asked him later "are you mad at me?..." He said "yeh." then turned away ... "uh-oh"...
