I never heard of the Jeffersons but here are some other old shows: I Love Lucy, Leave It To Be Beaver, Braidy Bunch and Different Strokes.

I've heard of it, but never watched it. But TONS of my bff's used to watch it (of course, the friends i keep telling to read certain books like urs) so, i think a majority of the people would get it.

I'd say go for it. It was a big show AND it continues to live on in reruns / Nick at Nite. Of course, it depends on the age of the character making the reference and/or the time period of the story.

I love your books, especially the "Eleven", "Twelve", "Thirteen" ones. And its so awesome because the year I turned 11, just a couple days after I did, "Eleven" came out. Same with "Twelve" and "Thirteen". And I find it SOOOOO AWESOMEEE that an author writes books about how it really is to be my age (exactly) and doesnt sugar-coat.

I'm not really familliar with the Jeffersons when you just mention it, but once I searched it, I think I remember seeing it on TV sometimes, although I didn't really watch it... I'm agreeing with those above, about I Love Lucy- (I LOVE watching I love lucy! haha!). The brady bunch works too, and I'm not quite sure, but maybe Fresh Prince, although that was on a little more recently.

I NEVER EVER watch shows that are from today, (except for iCarly and sometimes Disney Channel) I love to watch Full House (Why do people say that's a bad thing?) Michelle is SOOOOO cute, but i only like her when she's a baby, not a 2nd grader, though.
I LOVE I Love Lucy!!!!! My mom and I watch it together on Sunday mornings.
I LOVE the Brady Bunch, my mom sometimes says, "Natalie, you act like Jan Brady!" Jan is my least favorite character (no one really likes her) When my mom turned 43, we gave her a card with Greg Brady and it said 'Can You Dig it?' On the inside it said, 'You may be old, but your still as groovy as ever!'
I love Leave it to Beaver'! My favorite episode is when Wally likes Penny from his ballroom dancing class, and Beaver does something so she doesn't like him anymore, so Beaver gives her a beautifully wrapped present and inside is his toad! I also like when they raise an aligator, and the one when Wally gives Beaver a haircut!
I also LOVE to watch 'Saved By the Bell' My fave character is Screech, wasn't he on Celebrity Fit Club?
I also like to watch 'The Waltons' my grandmother and I watch them, they're okay. I HATE that LITTLE HOUSE IN THE BIG WOODS show! HATE IT! HATE IT! HATE IT!
I LOVE 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch'! It is AWSOME!!!!
